It is with very great sadness that Northern Ireland Opera has learnt of the untimely death of one of the world’s greatest opera artists Dmitri Hvorostovsky, who demonstrated a unique talent that was completely captivating and life-affirming. All those who saw him perform were fortunate, and his passing is a reminder to treasure the things and people that can enhance our world.
We regret to announce that Anna Devin will no longer be singing in the upcoming production of Mozart’s Così fan tutte due to illness. However, we are delighted to welcome Australian soprano Kiandra Howarth to make her debut with the company as Fiordiligi. read more
Our Grand Voices! was a Northern Ireland Opera Outreach Project, specially created for Belfast City Council’s Positive Ageing Month initiative. This singing workshop was open to anyone over the age of 60, regardless of singing ability, to come together, sing together and perform together. read more
