NI Opera Studio perform Mozart’s ‘Soave sia il vento’ in tribute to the NHS

Four singers and a pianist performing Mozart from their homes

The NI Opera Studio have performed Mozart’s ‘Soave sia il vento’ from their homes in gratitude and admiration for the work of the entire NHS team and frontline workers in Belfast and across Northern Ireland.

Mozart’s sublime trio, ‘Soave sia il vento’ expresses the hope for calm seas and gentle winds and is the hope that we extent to all those working in the health service and the frontline services across Northern Ireland.

Our NI Opera Studio artists are starting out in their opera careers and spend a year with us as part of a development programme.  They and the whole team at Northern Ireland Opera send our good wishes and recognition for all that is being done to save lives and keep us all safe.

Performed by: Rebecca Murphy (Studio 2018-19) and current members Zoë Jackson, David Corr and David Lee with pianist Frasier Hickland.
