Have you booked your tickets to 'CHORUS!' our thrilling new concert coming to The Ulster Hall @waterfront_ulster_hall on May 18 at 7.30pm? The brilliant NI Opera Chorus - seen here performing in a wide variety of productions and events - will be performing an exciting selection of opera choruses. Expect to hear works by Wagner, Purcell, Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Puccini, Beethoven, John Adams and more - whether you are completely new to opera or a seasoned fan, come and enjoy a phenomenal performance by our critically acclaimed chorus! All our opera singers are based here and were selected from open auditions in Belfast, which take place yearly. The concert will be conducted by @jamesgrossmith, with two choruses from 'Fidelio' and 'The Fairy Queen' conducted by @mezzo_margaret n (one of our Artists in Development), and the Chorus will be accompanied by @tristanrusscher Tickets are £20/£15 concessions and there are group rates for choirs/community or youth groups plus a limited number of FREE tickets for arts sector workers. NI Opera are looking forward to performing at Belfast City Hall on 6 June to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the brilliant @bx_gallery. Northern Ireland’s leading centre for photography is marking four decades at the vanguard of the visual arts movement with a major celebration of the creative industries in Belfast and its ground-breaking work in therapeutic photography. In a new initiative from NI Opera we are looking to see how we might help support local artists and art sector workers and we are delighted to be offering a limited number of complimentary tickets to see the 'CHORUS!' concert at the Ulster Hall Waterfront Hall & Ulster Hall on 18 May at 7.30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the power of an opera chorus in full voice, performing some of opera's best-loved and well-known opera choruses, as well as some lesser-known gems. You'll hear work by Verdi, Puccini, Purcell, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, John Adams and more. The NI Opera Chorus is comprised of more than thirty local opera singers who were selected from open auditions in Belfast and who spend a period of months working with specialist coaches in the build-up to our main stage productions at the Grand Opera House.
