This NI Opera event at the Northern Ireland Science Festival will be an interactive presentation where participants will learn all about the anatomy of singing from Trevor Agus, Lecturer at Queen’s University Sonic Arts Research Centre. Which body parts are involved in producing sounds, how many muscles do you use when singing in the shower?

With the scientific accuracy of a demon barber, he will dissect your voice, using the songs from Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd as examples, performed by Jessica Hackett, NI Opera Studio member.

Jessica is performing the role of Johanna Barker in NI Opera’s co-production of Sweeney Todd at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast during February 2019: https://www.niopera.com/events/sweeney-todd/
