The Associate Artists are alumni of Northern Ireland Opera and/or the Northern Ireland Opera Studio (previously known as the Young Artists Programme).  They have been brought together by Northern Ireland Opera to bring live music safely to communities during this pandemic.

They will be performing around Northern Ireland over the next couple of months and details of these events will be updated on this page and in the gallery below.  Please note, that while many of these events are free, you will usually need to book to comply with public health conditions.  The Associate Artists will also be supporting us in our outreach project with our partner primary and secondary schools across Northern Ireland with whom we will be running a year long programme of music, singing and creativity.

Upcoming events include a concert at The Portico of Ards, on 4th December ‘Merry Opera Everyone‘ which you can buy tickets for online

For World Opera Day, one of the Associate Artists, Mary McCabe performed in a short film, ‘Juliet’s Sleep’: a dramatic imagining of Gounod’s potion aria. Watch in the link below:

Follow the link below to see the Associate Artists singing in a recent event created by Northern Irish community opera company Spark Opera.  In this event for the Belfast International Arts Festival, they formed part of a chorus and solos to perform a sung version of the Good Friday Agreement: Peace in 4/4 time composed by Clare Salters, which you can watch from 25.57  minutes in:
