Find out how a partnership with Northern Ireland Opera can benefit your company and support our educational outreach projects and a development programme for young opera singers across Northern Ireland.

In the last couple of years, we have been supported by several key organisations here in Northern Ireland, including the Hastings Hotel Group, the Titanic Quarter, the Belfast Harbour Commission, Elliot Duffy Garrett and W&G Baird. Financial and in-kind support from these companies helps us to present world-class opera to audiences in Northern Ireland, by providing funds or facilities to develop outreach projects, educational events for children, and training for the up-and-coming opera singers who join our ambitious NI Opera Studio programme each year.

For you as an organisation, supporting Northern Ireland Opera provides benefits including access to private events, charity gala evenings, priority seats for our major shows, recognition in our publicity material, and branding alignment.  There are also multiple CSR opportunities in helping us bring opera to new audiences, perhaps by sponsoring our annual children’s opera, which tours across NI to schools and small venues, or by supporting our education and outreach work with schools, charities and low income groups which takes place around each of our main performances or even by getting involved with our annual North Coast event, The Glenarm Festival of Voice.

Feedback from some of those who benefitted from our outreach work around our major productions:

‘Today has been a day that they will not forget and it is bound to have an impact on their musical footprint.’ Workshops – Botanic Primary School teacher, Gemma
‘I would like to come back to the opera house. I really enjoyed the workshop. It challenged my views on opera and made me want to see the opera itself.’
Workshops – Action Ability member Sean
‘Previously not a big opera consumer… Fair play NI Opera. You won a new audience over.’ Dress Rehearsal – community group leader of Beyond Skin, Darren

Feedback from schools who attended our 2019 children’s opera tour:

‘Such an engaging and involving performance. The children enjoyed watching the action take place all around them and were riveted by the performers.’ Teacher of one of the school groups attending our children’s opera Pamplemousse

‘It was very good, very musical and it made you sit up in your chair watching: it was excellent!’ Elliot
‘It was very very very very very good.’ Christopher
‘I thought it was incredible! It was very creative! I would definitely come back!’ Demi

Alternatively you could consider becoming involved with the NI Opera Studio programme, supporting singers domiciled across the island of Ireland between the ages of 21 and 35 who perform up to four small-scale touring productions with us here in Northern Ireland each year, as well as free concerts and some private recitals for sponsors and Friends of NI Opera. You’d be helping grow potential future opera stars from the island of Ireland while also connecting new audiences across the country with accessible and enjoyable opera performances.

‘The Studio brought me a fantastic year of opportunity and growth in the right direction. I found a significant amount of development within each project. Be it with performance, singing technique or performance psychology, I made contacts and friends for life. I could not recommend this programme more for budding young singers.’  Jessica Hackett, NI Opera Studio member 2018/19
