The Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded grant-making trust that supports great charities of all sizes across the UK.

Esmé Mitchell Trust

The Esmé Mitchell Trust have awarded grants to NI Opera for several years, with a current funding focus on The Glenarm Festival of Voice.

The Garrick Club Charitable Trust

The Garrick Club Charitable Trust have generously awarded NI Opera a grant in support of our Artist Development Programme for 2024.

The D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust

The D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust are providing a generous grant to support coaching and vocal training for three emerging artists in the build-up to our production of ‘Eugene Onégin’ in September 2024.

Belfast Buildings Trust

During 2020/21 NI Opera received support from the Belfast Buildings Trust who allowed us to use Carlisle Memorial Church as a film location and opera venue. We continue to work together on outreach plans and projects for 2023.

Tourism Ireland

Tourism Ireland provided funding to NI Opera to help produce a behind the scenes film for our Northern Songs series..

Belfast Harbour

Belfast Harbour have granted us in-kind support by allowing us to use the Harbour Commissioner’s Office to showcase the work of our Chorus Development Programme Artists with a concert in May 2023.

The Friends of Northern Ireland Opera

NI Opera has worked in partnership with Young At Art and the Belfast Children’s Festival to launch our new teen/young adult opera ‘Nobody/Somebody’

First Church Belfast

This city centre church provides a venue for concerts for musicians from across all disciplines and is where we hold our Christmas Concert and a Summer Recital each year.

Out To Lunch Festival

NI Opera take part in this festival in January each year, delivering a friendly and accessible performance at the Black Box in Belfast with lunch included in the ticket.

Sundays on the Maritime Mile

NI Opera have for the past couple of years performed free pop-up events as part of the Maritime Mile’s ‘Sundays on the Maritime Mile’.

Walled City Music Festival

NI Opera take part in this Festival each March, with Associate Artists performing with pianists from the Walled City Music Festival programme.

The Merchant, Belfast

NI Opera is collaborating with The Merchant Hotel, Belfast on an Opera Dinner Gala and has also performed at private events within the hotel.

The Harrison, Belfast

We have performed at several salon-style events at The Harrison and receive in-kind sponsorship from The Harrison in the form of accommodation.

The Flint, Belfast

‘Tosca’ ticket bookers will receive a 10% discount on booking a room at the Flint if they are coming to see Tosca.

PPR Project

NI Opera produced an opera for teens and young adults celebrating the campaigning work of the young activists of the PPR Project in Belfast.

Springboard Opportunities

NI Opera has worked with Springboard to give four young people the opportunity of paid work experience on our production of ‘Nobody/Somebody’ to give them an insight into creative careers.

Sailortown Regeneration

NI Opera have worked with Sailortown delivering outreach events during 2022 including workshops for children, Christmas concert performances and a Salon Series event.
